The Israeli Patent Authority at the Israeli Ministry of Justice announced the launch of a new online database of designs approved for publication. Thus far, those interested in searching the designs database had to do so in-presence at the Patent Authority's offices in Jerusalem. The new database, accessible through the Patent Authority's website, gives convenient access to review the designs' layouts and other details. The database is updated regularly, and includes all up-to-date information regarding designs registered in Israel and authorized for publication.
The new online database is searchable in Hebrew and in English, through several criteria, such as: design owner's name, design owner's legal representative, design number and design name. The chief of the Israeli Patent Authority, Mr. Assa Kling, commented that this marks "a revolution in terms of working vis-a-vis the designs department".
